Very friendly English speaking owner. The food was reasonably priced, the main meal was cooked to perfection, while the recommended wine was excellent and from the locality.

The hotel is well located and the town is easily accessed on foot. The rooms were well maintained and comfortable. The lady at front of house was very accommodating to our group and ensured we were well looked after.

Room was clean with a good aircon unit. The staff were very hospitable. Breakfast was nice and the hotel was reasonably priced. The hotel was located in the town so it was very easy to walk around.

Second time staying at the Auberge de la Rose and will be coming back again. Easy parking, clean and tidy rooms, welcoming staff and an excellent restaurant - this auberge is a fine example of French hospitality.

Very respectful of Covid. The food was very good , we had dinner as well as a good breakfast. Good selection for both. Staff very helpful and it is ideally placed for a visit to Doue la Fontaine and Saumur and close to the Bioparc zoo.
